The Vestavia Hills Senior Citizens Association was formed in 1986. The only criterion for membership is an age requirement. An individual must be at least 55 years old to join. You do not have to live in the city of Vestavia Hills to join the Association. The cost of membership is $10.00 per person, payable the first of each year.
The Association is governed by a Board consisting of the elected officers and ten members-at-large. The current officers are:

The Senior Citizens Association meets the second Monday of each month, September thru May, at 11:30 AM for lunch and entertainment. These meetings take place in the Dogwood Room of the Vestavia Hills Civic Center at 1975 Merryvale Road, Vestavia Hills, AL.
Members of the Senior Citizens Association also participate in dancing, bingo, bridge, seminars, and scheduled trips. These activities are coordinated by the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Vestavia Hills. Please, call Ms. Julie Harper at 978-0169 for further information.
The Senior Citizens Association also has held political forums, helped sponsor the Senior Drivers Group, the Ford Festival and in October this year the Association will sponsor a flea market at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center.
