The mission of the Vestavia Hills Office of Development is to plan and coordinate all aspects of economic development to include land planning, economic and community development, transportation planning, intergovernmental relations, and related marketing activities.

The Director of Development works extensively with developers, real estate representatives and city, county, and state officials to enhance economic development within the city limits of Vestavia Hills. Every effort is made to meet with interested agencies and companies prior to development to coordinate and resolve issues related to annexation, zoning and/or construction as applicable, prior to the expenditure of any funds.
