Vestavia Hills Fire Department has a Class
3 ISO (Insurance Services
Office) rating. The ISO rating is used by insurance
companies to determine rate structures for fire
insurance premiums. The ISO rating scale is Class
1 through Class 10, with 1 being the best and 10
having no fire protection.
The
Vestavia Hills Fire Department responds each year
to a variety of Emergency Fire, Emergency Medical,
Medical Transport and Public Assistance requests

In
an effort to stay proficient in the knowledge and
skills necessary to provide the citizens of Vestavia
Hills with the highest level of service, the department
members are devoted to an ongoing program of continuing
education with applied practical applications
Part
of every day is spent in equipment maintenance to
ensure that every piece of equipment is in proper
working condition.
Fire
Station custodial and minor repair activities are
performed by the members of the department in order
to maintain the stations at the lowest cost to our
citizens.
Each
Fire Station provides free blood pressure screening
to the public.
